I found that the majority of my photos are taken outside, which is probably because I am an outdoor person. To me there is something freeing about photos that are taken in places off the beaten path. Growing up in a small town in Nebraska where there wasn't much of anything it makes me appriciate the small things. I often found that is what influenced what I photograph. They are simple yet filled with so much emotion. That's what I like about photography is that you can convey so much emotion in just one photo that a thousand words couldn't.
